Welcome to Blue Moon Farms; we are now serving
two locations Kings Mountain and Belmont, North Carolina. We are a mother-daughter
team who have been involved with horses our whole lives. Over the last 25 years we have specialized in breeding quality registered
American Paint Horses, Arabians and Appendix Quarter Horses. We have bred, raised and trained beautiful athletic horses suitable
for Hunter Under Saddle, Over Fences, Longe-Line, Pleasure Driving, and all around events. Our horses have always been well
suited for the show ring as well as for field and trail. We have strived for exceptional conformation, athleticism and disposition.
These good-minded horses have the looks, ability and talent that it takes to succeed in the show ring but more importantly
the personalities to be a favorite family pet.
These fine animals have brought us lots of happiness over the years,
but times are changing. As much as we have enjoyed raising these foals, we must
do the responsible thing and adapt with the times. I still have a vision and
a plan, but we will be slowing down and breeding only one select mare every now and again.
I feel that there is always a market for a great horse, but I also feel like because of the rising cost of fuel, feed
as well as the current state of the economy, that right now the market is flooded with displaced horses. I recommend if you are in the market for a new horse that you check with rescue organizations to see what
hidden gem you may find. Not to worry, we have retained our fabulous brood mares
and have put them to work in our lesson program in the interim.
For now we will be focusing all of our energy on lessons, farm activities and showing our
horses. We also offer full-service boarding on 27 acres. In addition we offer
